Valve has launched the Dead Hand Terminal — CS2's second Sealed Terminal collection — bringing 17 brand-new community-designed weapon skins and 22 all-new glove finishes to the game. The collection dropped on March 12, 2026, and is already shaking up the skin market with some stunning designs.
Collection Theme
The Dead Hand concept takes its name from the Cold War-era nuclear fail-safe system — an automated retaliatory strike mechanism designed to launch even if command was destroyed. This dark, high-stakes theme runs through every design in the collection: controlled lethality meets ornate craftsmanship.
Expect Japanese motifs, crane imagery, kintsugi-style gold repair art, geometric precision, and a pervasive sense of elegant danger. It is a distinctive aesthetic that sets Dead Hand apart from the more colorful collections CS2 has seen recently.
Covert Skins (Red)
AWP Queen's Gambit — luxurious golden engravings with deep blue accents
The collection's crown jewels are two Covert-grade skins:
- AWP Queen's Gambit — Features luxurious golden engravings over a deep blue base, with chess-inspired motifs running along the scope and body. The level of detail in the metalwork is exceptional, making it one of the most premium-looking AWP skins to date.
- Glock-18 Fully Tuned — A vibrant anime-style design with neon colors that contrasts sharply with the rest of the collection's muted elegance. It has quickly become a community favorite for its bold, eye-catching aesthetic.

Classified Skins (Pink)
The standout Classified skin is the AK-47 Crane Flight, featuring a stunning Japanese-inspired crane illustration in black ink over a warm ivory background. The minimalist design with its flowing crane artwork has drawn comparisons to traditional ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
22 New Gloves
A selection of the 22 new glove finishes — all designed by Valve
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the massive glove drop. All 22 glove finishes are Valve-designed (not community-made), and they serve as the rare special items in the Dead Hand Terminal. This is the largest single glove addition CS2 has ever seen, with designs ranging from tactical military styles to ornate ceremonial pieces.
Unlike the weapon skins, gloves are not available in StatTrak versions.
How to Get Dead Hand Items
The Dead Hand Terminal works identically to the Genesis Terminal:
- Weekly drops — The Terminal is in the weekly drop pool, so you can receive it randomly after matches
- Steam Community Market — Buy sealed terminals from other players
- Third-party marketplaces — Available on CSFloat, Skinport, Buff163 and others
Every skin in the collection is available as a StatTrak variant (except gloves), and all standard float value ranges apply.
Market Impact
Early pricing shows strong demand for the Covert skins, with AWP Queen's Gambit Factory New listings already commanding premium prices. The AK-47 Crane Flight has also seen rapid price movement as collectors snap up low-float copies. The massive glove selection is expected to gradually bring down prices for older glove models as supply increases across the category.
For collectors and investors, the Dead Hand Collection offers a diverse range of price points — from affordable Mil-Spec items to high-end Covert skins that could appreciate over time as the Terminal cycles out of the drop pool.
