ESL confirmed on May 30 that all five Stage 3 (Champions) sessions at the LANXESS arena have sold out for IEM Cologne Major 2026. The capacity-per-session is 18,400 seats, with four quarterfinal and semifinal sessions on June 17-20 and the Grand Final on June 21. The total Stage 3 in-arena audience target across the five sessions: 92,000.
Timing and pricing
Tickets went on first-tier sale on April 15 at €45-160 depending on seating category, with second-tier (after sale to ESL Plus members) opening April 22. The Grand Final session sold out within the first 3 hours of the second-tier open. The quarterfinal and semifinal sessions sold out progressively over the following six weeks, with the May 30 sellout completing the final two semifinal sessions.
The waitlist queue
ESL opened the waitlist queue at the moment of the May 30 sellout announcement. Cancellation-rebook releases run on the standard 48-hour window: tickets cancelled more than 48 hours before the session re-enter the public pool through the waitlist. Historical Major-event cancellation rates have produced roughly 200-400 rebook seats per session, which is a meaningful secondary access point for fans without first-tier purchase.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 broadcast-only
Stage 1 (June 2-5) and Stage 2 (June 6-13) run from the ESL Cologne studio block, not the LANXESS arena - those stages are not audience-facing and produce no in-person ticket sales. The LANXESS Stage 3 sessions are the only in-arena audience experience of the tournament, which is consistent with the three-stage Major format ESL has operated since 2023.
