Spirit's 2-1 over FURIA was the group-stage thriller
Spirit closed FURIA 2-1 in the Round 3 high-bracket match — the closest series of the group stage and the result that established Spirit's tournament-favorite status. Dust2 went to Spirit 13-8 with disciplined CT-side play; Overpass to Spirit 16-12 in overtime after FURIA forced a thrilling 12-12 finish from a 7-10 deficit; Mirage to Spirit 13-11 in a series that turned on three consecutive close-range rifle duels in the late T-side. Three maps that could have gone either way.
Falcons survive late drama
Team Falcons defeated The MongolZ 2-1 in the final qualification match to lock their playoff spot. kyousuke posted the series MVP performance — the under-the-radar Falcons rifler who has been the structural backbone of the karrigan-led roster all spring. The Falcons playoff path: through FURIA in the quarters, then potentially Spirit in the semis if both advance. A bracket that could either confirm karrigan's rebuild or expose its limits.
