PGL Astana 2026 Playoff Bracket Locked: Spirit, MOUZ, FURIA, Falcons Through

The PGL Astana 2026 group stage closed today with all eight playoff slots locked. Spirit, MOUZ, FURIA, Falcons, 9z, magic, and two others advance to the single-elimination quarterfinals starting May 15. Six teams exit the tournament at $16,000 each. The bracket is set, and the matchups produced one classic and several near-misses across the final group rounds.

The quarterfinal bracket

MOUZ vs Spirit on May 15 at 16:00 ALMT — the upper-bracket Round 3 winners meet in the most-anticipated quarterfinal. 9z vs magic at 19:00 ALMT — the Cinderella matchup between the South American breakout and the Eastern European qualifier surprise. Falcons vs FURIA on May 17 at 14:00 ALMT — the karrigan-led Falcons need to overcome FURIA's structural form to keep their first major-LAN test alive. The fourth quarterfinal closes the upper bracket's playoff field.

Spirit's 2-1 over FURIA was the group-stage thriller

Spirit closed FURIA 2-1 in the Round 3 high-bracket match — the closest series of the group stage and the result that established Spirit's tournament-favorite status. Dust2 went to Spirit 13-8 with disciplined CT-side play; Overpass to Spirit 16-12 in overtime after FURIA forced a thrilling 12-12 finish from a 7-10 deficit; Mirage to Spirit 13-11 in a series that turned on three consecutive close-range rifle duels in the late T-side. Three maps that could have gone either way.

Falcons survive late drama

Team Falcons defeated The MongolZ 2-1 in the final qualification match to lock their playoff spot. kyousuke posted the series MVP performance — the under-the-radar Falcons rifler who has been the structural backbone of the karrigan-led roster all spring. The Falcons playoff path: through FURIA in the quarters, then potentially Spirit in the semis if both advance. A bracket that could either confirm karrigan's rebuild or expose its limits.

What's at stake from here

$800,000 prize pool, single-elimination from this point forward. The grand final is May 17 at 17:00 ALMT (Bo5). With Vitality and NAVI both at IEM Atlanta this week, Astana's champion gets the bragging rights of a Tier-1 LAN trophy won against the field below the Vitality-NAVI tier — and the VRS points that come with it ahead of summer Major qualification.
