The opening day of PGL Bucharest 2026 delivered eight matches of Swiss-system action and one of the most shocking moments of the CS2 season.

The FaZe Forfeit

FaZe Clan forfeited their opening match against EYEBALLERS, handing the Swedish squad a free win. FaZe entered the tournament desperate for results after their BLAST Rotterdam exit, but instead started with an automatic 0-1 record. The reasons remain unclear.

All Day 1 Results

The MongolZ 2-0 BC.Game (13-3, 13-11)

The MongolZ made a statement with a dominant opener. The first map was a 13-3 blowout, and while BC.Game with s1mple and electroNic fought on map two, MongolZ closed it 13-11.

Astralis 2-0 MIBR (13-10, 13-5)

Astralis controlled both maps convincingly, showing the Danish core still has plenty to offer.

FOKUS 2-1 3DMAX (13-6, 9-13, 13-7)

The upset of the day. FOKUS from the open qualifier took down 3DMAX in three maps. After dominating Ancient 13-6, they lost Dust2 before closing it on Inferno 13-7.

PARIVISION 2-1 Legacy (10-13, 13-10, 13-4)

The favorites nearly stumbled. PARIVISION dropped Mirage 10-13 before recovering with Inferno 13-10 and a dominant Dust2 13-4.

NRG 2-0 Voca (13-4, 13-3)

NRG steamrolled Voca in the most one-sided series of the day.

B8 2-0 Wildcard (13-7, 13-10)

B8 handled Wildcard cleanly across two maps.

FUT 2-1 Inner Circle

FUT Esports came back from a map deficit to beat Inner Circle.

FaZe 0-1 EYEBALLERS (Forfeit)

FaZe did not play. EYEBALLERS advance to the 1-0 pool.

Day 2 Preview

The 1-0 teams face each other in Round 2, while the 0-1 teams including FaZe fight to avoid early elimination.
