The first Vitality-NAVI scrim block of the Vitality Antwerp bootcamp ran July 1 with NAVI's stand-in trial candidate fnatic_v1 making his tier-1 opponent debut. Bo3 finished Vitality 2-1 across the three-map format. Scrim details were shared with tier-1 roster-tracking sources at both team's discretion.
Map results
- Mirage 13-9 Vitality — Vitality T-side opened 9-3 with three ZywOo opening picks. NAVI CT-side pulled to 9-7 but Vitality closed on a ropz B-site retake streak.
- Inferno 13-11 NAVI — fnatic_v1 called an aggressive early T-side default execute on banana that surprised Vitality's CT-side rotation timing. w0nderful carried the second half with 4 opening picks. NAVI closed 13-11 in overtime-adjacent territory — Inferno was the strongest fnatic_v1 map showing.
- Ancient 13-8 Vitality — apEX CT-side anchored B-cave for 9 rounds in the first half. NAVI's T-side Ancient couldn't establish mid-control read against the apEX-Magisk cross. Vitality closed 13-8 with a ZywOo A-site default triple-kill.
fnatic_v1 individual read
fnatic_v1 posted a 1.02 series rating — respectable for a tier-2 IGL making his tier-1 opponent debut, but well below the 1.15+ threshold NAVI would need from their next full-time IGL. Post-scrim analytics from tier-1 roster-tracking sources:
- KAST: 68% (target for tier-1 IGL: 72%+)
- Opening picks: 4 across 3 maps
- Headshot rate: 62%
- Multi-kill rounds: 3
- Utility damage per round: 8.4 (target: 9.5+ for IGL)
fnatic_v1's Inferno T-side default execute call was cited as the strongest tactical read — the aggressive banana execute that surprised Vitality's rotation timing is a read that mirrors the aggressive execute philosophy Aleksib had been criticised for abandoning at Cologne 2026.
Vitality read on the scrim block
Coach XTQZZZ (via post-scrim comment to French-language broadcast source 1pv.fr): "NAVI with stand-in was more aggressive than NAVI at Cologne. That's an interesting read for us — the read is that a stand-in trial changes NAVI's tactical identity in week-1 scrim block. We adapt to that."
ZywOo (Twitter July 1 evening): "fnatic_v1 has real tier-1 potential. His Inferno T-side calling was clean. NAVI made an interesting scrim block choice."
What NAVI reads
NAVI head coach B1ad3 (post-scrim comment): "fnatic_v1's first tier-1 opponent scrim went above our internal expectations. Losing 2-1 to world #2 with a two-day IGL trial is a strong data point. We continue the stand-in trial — sjr Madsen July 4 scrim block, kingfisher July 9-13. Final decision after all three trials."
Week 2 scrim schedule
Week 2 of Vitality bootcamp opens July 7 with the second NAVI scrim block (sjr Madsen as stand-in). MOUZ and GamerLegion scrim blocks follow. FaZe scrim scheduled July 12 (pre-Spring Finals departure).
