Vitality Sweep NAVI 3-0 to Win BLAST Open Rotterdam and Claim Third Straight Trophy

Team Vitality have cemented their status as the undisputed best team in the world by sweeping Natus Vincere 3-0 in the BLAST Open Rotterdam grand final on March 29. The victory gives Vitality their third consecutive Big Event trophy and extends their remarkable map winning streak to 22.

Map-by-Map Breakdown

Inferno: Vitality 13-7

NAVI secured early momentum with a CT-side force-buy win, but couldn't capitalize on their advantages. Poor economic decisions cost them dearly — they lost critical rounds to Vitality's half-buys. The second half saw Vitality's defense dominate completely, closing out the map convincingly at 13-7.

Anubis: Vitality 13-10

Vitality built an early lead before makazze's back-to-back triple kills briefly energized NAVI's defense. However, NAVI's economy management faltered again — losing the force-buy following their pistol win allowed Vitality to secure an 8-4 lead. Despite a second-half offensive surge from NAVI, Vitality's star players made the crucial plays to close it out 13-10.

Dust2: Vitality 13-10

ropz set the tone immediately with a remarkable all-headshot four-kill on the opening Glock round. Vitality's dominant T-side gave them a commanding lead, and NAVI's second-half pistol loss proved devastating. Though NAVI mounted a late comeback attempt, Vitality's firepower was too much.

ropz Dominates

Robin "ropz" Kool was the undisputed star of the grand final with 65 kills against 40 deaths and an outstanding 1.56 Rating. His Glock quad-kill on Dust2's opening round was the highlight of the series. ZywOo contributed 47 kills with a 1.22 rating, while flameZ added 42 kills.

For NAVI, b1t managed 45 kills with a 1.14 rating, and makazze had 48 kills but a 1.06 rating. iM struggled significantly with just 28 kills and a 0.75 rating — the lowest on either team.

Historic Streaks

With this victory, Vitality's numbers are staggering:

  • 22 consecutive map wins
  • 16 consecutive series wins
  • 3 Big Event trophies in a row

NAVI's downfall came from repeated economic mistakes and lost clutches across the series. The roster featuring ZywOo, ropz, flameZ, mezii, and apEX continues to look like the greatest Counter-Strike lineup ever assembled.
