Twenty-four hours after Valve tightened VRS region-swap rules, BC.Game secured a one-off exception that keeps their Asia path to the Singapore Major alive.
Valve's GitHub update
"BC.Game (asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple, Senzu) are assigned to the Asia region and are eligible for a Major invitation."
CEO's "fresh start" ask
Earlier that day, BC.Game CEO Ali "Ako" Muhanned had publicly offered a VRS reset — have Valve wipe BC.Game's accumulated points so the lineup is judged purely by its own next three weeks of results.
"We're willing to give away everything we have earned."
"No previous ranking. No inherited points" — Muhanned, asking that results earned "by these five players from that moment forward" count.
Timeframe BC.Game set: 3 weeks to prove themselves.
Who got in, who didn't
- BC.Game — exception granted. Context: two established Asian players (Senzu and mzinho) were already on the roster for months; asap was the late-September Australian signing that triggered the rule
- Sashi — rejected. Different circumstances: "citizenship irregularities" treated more severely by Valve
- WW — rejected initially under the same rule. Only BC.Game's appeal succeeded in the window Valve gave both teams to "find a solution"
