BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 to Run July 21 to August 2
<p>BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 was confirmed as the first tier-one CS2 tournament of the post-Cologne summer, with the format running online from July 21 and culminating in a LAN finals on Malta from July 30 to August 2. The event serves as the opener for the second half of the CS2 competitive calendar.</p><h3>Format and Prize Pool</h3><p>The tournament starts with 32 teams in an online opening stage. The top 8 advance to the Malta LAN finals. The total prize pool is $1,150,000, one of the larger summer purses outside of the Esports World Cup.</p><h3>Confirmed Teams</h3><p>Falcons, Vitality, FURIA, and Spirit are among the confirmed participants. The competitive field represents the majority of the HLTV top 15, with several key roster debuts scheduled - including G2's r1nkle, FaZe's JBOEN, HEROIC's MartinezSa and Brollan, and 100 Thieves' Gizmy.</p><h3>Talent Lineup</h3><p>BLAST announced a talent lineup including the return of James Bardolph and Daniel 'ddk' Kapadia to BLAST for the first time in close to seven years. On the NA analyst front, Alex 'Mauisnake' Ellenberg and Donald 'voo' Parkhurst joined the desk, while Conner 'Scrawny' Girvan and Mohan 'launders' Govindasamy will cast the Malta LAN.</p><h3>Cache Implications</h3><p>BLAST Bounty is the first tier-one event to run under CS2's Season 5 map pool, meaning Cache is now in and Overpass is out. Teams have two weeks between the map-pool update and the online phase to prepare Cache in professional conditions.</p><h3>Post-Cologne Reset</h3><p>The Bounty format is designed to reset the competitive tempo after the Major grind. For rosters with fresh signings, it's the first meaningful test of chemistry. For established lineups like Vitality and Spirit, it's a chance to reassert dominance after Cologne disappointment.</p>
