The most-watched name of the entire EWC LCQ is out. 100 Thieves beat BC.Game 2-1 in the round of 16 on August 9, ending Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's Paris run at the final hurdle before the main event.

s1mple did his job
s1mple closed the series at 1.34 rating, 64-44 K-D, 87.5 ADR — the top stat line of the match. The issue wasn't the AWPer; it was cohesion. Coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas summed it up bluntly: "We need to remember s1mple and electronic are coming from a different sort of CS."
100 Thieves came in ready
Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen posted a 1.23 series rating and had led all playoff qualifiers with a 1.44 rating across the entire LCQ. The starting five — Nicolai "device" Reedtz, Håvard "rain" Nygaard, Gizmy, William "sirah" Kjærsgaard, Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren — advanced to face 1win in the qualification decider (see next story).
What it means
BC.Game's project — built around getting s1mple, electroNic and Magisk back to top-level LAN — bows out in the round of 16 despite dominant individual production. The line-up returns to the drawing board with the roster core intact but the calendar increasingly unforgiving.
