The Esports World Cup 2026 Last Chance Qualifier got underway in Paris on August 7, with 64 teams competing for the final four seats at the $2 million main event that starts August 12.

Day 1 on the ground
HLTV's Milan "Striker" Švejda and Luís "MIRAA" Mira are covering the event on site, describing what they call "a massive LCQ stage." The first-round bracket was pushed back from 11:00 to 11:30, with 16 matches going live simultaneously. Early scheduled matchups included 1win vs Citron and BC.Game vs BASEMENT BOYS.
Broadcast talent for the qualifier is led by Ne0kai, YouM3, Travis Landaw Mott and HenryG. Community streamers are allowed to cover any game via the FACEIT playcast, giving smaller matches organic secondary coverage.
What's at stake
The winners join a 28-team invited field already confirmed for the main event, including Vitality (playing on home soil at Accor Arena), Falcons, Spirit, MOUZ (fresh off winning BLAST Bounty S2), NAVI, FaZe, FURIA, The MongolZ and 22 more clubs. First place at the main event pays $600,000 plus 1,000 CC points; even 25-32nd place pockets $10,000.
