Astralis called back Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard as a stand-in for the rest of Stake Ranked Episode 5 in Barcelona — a Major-invite rescue manoeuvre, not a reinstated starter.
What happened
HLTV confirmed with Astralis that jabbi replaces Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov for the remainder of the event. cmtry will not play five matches for the team.
Why — the roster-listing problem
- cmtry is still listed on FUT's VRS roster; FUT have only played three matches with SunPayus since the loan
- If FUT lose their quarter-final and cmtry plays one more match for Astralis, he could end up on both VRS rosters
- Rule: only the higher-ranked eligible roster gets the Major invite
- Rankings: FUT #7, Astralis #17
- Outcome in that scenario: Astralis lose their Major invite
Jabbi's return avoids the double-listing.
