Team Vitality officially confirmed on August 4 that Lithuanian rifler Justinas "jL" Lekavicius will join the roster as a stand-in for two upcoming tournaments while regular players take paternity leave.

Both regulars are stepping away for paternity leave, leaving the French organisation to seek short-term coverage without disrupting long-term roster planning.
A familiar name in stand-in duty
This marks jL's second stand-in appearance of 2026. The Lithuanian, who departed Natus Vincere earlier in July, previously filled in for MOUZ during their spring campaign. He remains a free agent and continues to accept high-profile short-term contracts, using the visibility to court a permanent seat for late 2026.
Vitality context
The move arrives during a difficult stretch for the French squad, who have failed to reach a top-four finish in three consecutive events. Roster instability shows up further in the August VRS update the same day, where Vitality fell outside the top four for the first time since August 2024.
BLAST Open Porto runs in Portugal, followed by PGL Masters Bucharest in Romania, giving jL a busy August-September window before returning to the market ahead of the September VRS refresh.
