MOUZ are the BLAST Bounty Season 2 champions after subduing Team Spirit 3-1 in a best-of-five Grand Final in Attard, Malta on Sunday, August 2. The result ended a 17-month trophy drought stretching back to PGL Cluj-Napoca and denied Danil "donk" Kryshkovets a fitting climax to his career-defining tournament run.
The series swung on MOUZ's map-veto opener. On Dust2, Lotan "Spinx" Giladi's 23-8 K-D ripped through Spirit's setups for a 13-8 win. Mirage was one of the most lopsided championship maps in recent memory, MOUZ steamrolling 13-4 with Spinx again dominant at 20-5. Spirit clawed back a point on Ancient 13-9, forcing a fourth map, but MOUZ closed the door on Nuke 13-10 to seal the title.
Spirit, world No. 1 heading into the weekend, were pale imitations of the side that had ridden donk's historic form throughout the group stage and playoffs. Outside a highlight 1v3 on Dust2, donk finished the series at just 1.07 rating, extending a sub-1.00 stretch that began in the semifinal reverse sweep survival against FaZe.
For MOUZ, this is validation for a rebuilt lineup that leans on Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, xelex and recently acquired Oldřich "PR" Nový from MOUZ NXT. Head-to-head, Spirit had beaten them in eight straight series before this final. "Nobody beats MOUZ eight times in a row," Dorian "xertioN" Zewczyk quipped in the celebration, capturing the mood inside the MOUZ camp.
The champions now pivot to Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, which opens August 12 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with a $2,000,000 prize pool and the Grand Final relocated to the Accor Arena on August 23. MOUZ arrive as arguably the hottest team in Counter-Strike heading into a defining fortnight.
