About AK-47 | Vulcan
The AK-47 | Vulcan is the iconic "tactical AK" — the skin that defined what mid-tier collectible AKs could look like in the 2014-2018 era. Released in May 2014 as part of the Huntsman Collection, Vulcan combines clean futuristic styling with limited Operation supply, producing a Covert-tier AK that has appreciated steadily for a decade.
Design
Vulcan features a clean white-and-black geometric pattern across the receiver and stock, with subtle blue accents on the magazine and grip. The design avoids the busy detail of older AK Coverts in favor of a sleek, minimalist aesthetic — closer to modern industrial design than weapon paint. This minimalism is what gives Vulcan its enduring appeal across collector generations.
Drop Source & Supply
Vulcan drops from the Huntsman Collection, distributed during Operation Breakout (June-September 2014). The collection is no longer in active drop rotation. Active FN supply: ~6,500 worldwide. The Huntsman Case still circulates and is unboxed regularly, so supply expands very slowly through new unboxings.
Market Position
Vulcan FN trades at ~$800. Through 2025-2026 it has appreciated +12% per year — solid mid-tier growth. It's the entry-level Covert AK for collectors who don't yet want to commit to Wild Lotus, Fire Serpent, or Case Hardened pricing. Vulcan also pairs naturally with M4A4 Howl in tactical-themed loadouts.
