The AWP | The Prince in Minimal Wear is one of the most prestigious AWP finishes in CS2 — a covert from the Operation Hydra Collection (May 2017), depicting a samurai-era Japanese prince in muted gold-and-crimson woodblock styling. The Prince has long been the AWP collectors' preferred classical-art skin, sitting alongside Medusa and Dragon Lore as a top-shelf hold.
Why MW makes sense over FN
Factory New copies command a steep premium for negligible visible improvement — the woodblock artwork reads identically at MW. Float-hunters chase sub-0.08 MW for the cleanest border behavior. Above MW the artwork starts losing definition on the receiver scope rail.
Hydra retirement
The Operation Hydra Collection has been retired from active drops since 2017. The Prince is its rarest AWP and supply is fixed; price discovery follows collector cycles, not case-drop volume.
