About ★ Bayonet | Bright Water
The ★ Bayonet | Bright Water in Minimal Wear is one of the most quietly painterly Bayonet finishes. Released with the Falchion Case (May 2015), Bright Water applies a stippled blue-and-cream watercolor pattern over the Bayonet's straight blade — the visual reference is impressionist landscape painting rather than firearms.
Why Bright Water reads differently
Most Bayonet finishes commit to either decorative graphic (Lore, Crimson Web) or solid utility (Black Laminate, Forest DDPAT). Bright Water occupies a middle ground — the watercolor stippling is decorative but not graphic, gentle but not flat. Among Falchion Case alternatives, it's the most unusual visual choice.
MW preservation
The watercolor stippling is delicate by design. At MW the blue-and-cream gradients stay clean and the stipple texture reads at full detail. FT and below blur the stipple into uniform watercolor wash, losing the technique that defines the design.
