The ★ Bowie Knife | Night in Factory New is the matte dark Bowie Knife option - introduced in the Operation Wildfire era (February 2016) when the Bowie model joined the knife pool alongside other Wildfire knife additions. Night carries no pattern lottery, no gradient, just a deep grey-black matte body that lets the Bowie's broad slightly-curved blade do the visual work.
Why FN matters for Bowie Night
Matte solid-colour finishes show wear most visibly at higher floats because there is no pattern decoration to mask scratches. FN preserves the matte saturation at peak uniform clarity - the dark coat reads as cohesive across the full blade. The Bowie's blade gives Night a relatively broad canvas, and FN delivers the colour evenness the design relies on. MW already starts showing surface marks at the blade edges.
