The ★ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter in Factory New is the flagship pattern-lottery configuration of one of the most iconic Butterfly finishes in CS2. From the Bravo Collection (September 2013), Slaughter's blood-red marbling on the Butterfly's flippable blade is among the most pattern-driven knife combinations in the game.
Pattern hunting
"Full Red" patterns (uniform high red coverage) command extreme premiums over "Sparse Red" copies. Some seeds concentrate marbling on the blade tip, others on the spine, others across the entire blade. Pattern resources like csbluegem.com track the highest-coverage seeds. The Butterfly's flipping animation makes pattern placement particularly visible during gameplay.
Why FN matters
FN preserves the chromatic depth of the red marbling at peak saturation — and Slaughter's pattern lottery is most readable when the chrome highlights are crisp. MW already shows mild dulling that affects pattern readability. The Bravo Collection has been retired since 2013; supply is closed.
