About ★ Huntsman Knife | Night
The ★ Huntsman Knife | Night in Well-Worn is the heritage-darkest finish in the Huntsman line. Released with the Huntsman Weapon Case (May 2014), Night applies a flat black anodized finish with subtle blued highlights — the visual equivalent of a service-worn military knife rather than a presentation piece.
Why Night persists
Solid-color knife finishes are an acquired taste. Night persists in collector demand because the Huntsman's flat blade is the right canvas for it: the matte black shows the silhouette without competing with painted graphics or chrome polish. This is the version of the Huntsman you would actually carry.
WW as the natural condition
Black-on-black finishes are flattering at higher wear. At Well-Worn the matte black shows micro-scratches and edge softening that reads as authentic — the design intent already implies operational use. WW represents the visual sweet spot before BS introduces blade-discoloration that affects readability.
