About M4A1-S | Knight
The M4A1-S | Knight is one of the rarest non-knife, non-glove skins in CS2. Released in August 2014 in the Breakout Collection, Knight is the only Covert M4A1-S that drops from a single, no-longer-active collection — and unlike Howl, it was never reclassified, simply forgotten by Valve's drop pool restructuring. The result: a finite, never-replenishing supply that keeps tightening every year.
Design
Knight features a stoic medieval knight in full plate armor, hand-painted on the receiver in muted silver, gold, and gunmetal tones. The design avoids the loud color palettes of contemporary M4 skins — its prestige comes from artistic restraint and historical referentiality. The knight's helmet visor is the focal point, with subtle texture work that rewards close inspection.
Supply Constraint
Knight drops only from the Breakout Collection, which is no longer in active drop rotation. Estimated active supply is ~1,200 specimens worldwide across all wear conditions — making Knight one of the rarest individual M4 skins in existence. FN examples represent roughly 8%, with low-float specimens commanding meaningful premiums.
Market Position
Knight FN trades at ~$3,800 — placing it firmly above the average M4A1-S Covert price of ~$1,500-2,500. Through 2025-2026 Knight has appreciated +28% per year, the strongest performance in any M4A1-S finish. The supply story is the entire investment thesis: existing inventory is being slowly destroyed, while no new Knights enter circulation.
