About M4A4 | In Living Color
The M4A4 | In Living Color in Factory New is one of CS2's most kinetically designed M4A4 finishes. Released in the Norse Collection (Operation Riptide, September 2021), In Living Color wraps the M4A4 in densely overlapping graffiti-style color blocks — bright primary tones, no central focal point, the visual logic of urban street art applied to assault rifle.
Why In Living Color works as design
Most M4A4 covert skins commit to a single visual concept (Asiimov's white-orange split, Howl's hand-painted demon, Buzz Kill's military-illustration). In Living Color goes the opposite direction: pure overlapping chaos that resolves into coherence at viewing distance. It's an unusual approach in CS2's covert tier and one of the few skins that genuinely benefits from being viewed in motion rather than static inspect.
FN preservation specifics
The dense color overlap relies on saturation contrast between the layered blocks. Wear flattens individual block colors and compresses the contrast between them — at FT the design starts to read as muddy. FN preserves the kinetic punch that defines the finish.
