About ★ Stiletto Knife | Damascus Steel
The ★ Stiletto Knife | Damascus Steel in Well-Worn is the highest-character condition for one of CS2's most procedurally varied finishes. Released with the Horizon Case (November 2018), Damascus Steel pairs the Stiletto's automatic-deploy mechanism with a layered fold pattern that varies seed-to-seed — and Well-Worn is where the wear-through actually accentuates the layering rather than diminishing it.
Why WW reads better here
On polished knife finishes (Tiger Tooth, Doppler), wear is destructive. On Damascus Steel, wear can be accretive: the polish softening reveals more of the underlying fold pattern texture, especially along the spine. Some collectors deliberately target WW Damascus over MW for this reason.
Pattern preference at WW
Without a canonical Tier list, Damascus Steel buyers go on personal preference. WW favors seeds where the fold lines run perpendicular to the edge — this distribution catches the most light at varied wear levels and reads cleanly even with surface softening.
