The ★ Stiletto Knife | Stained in Field-Tested is the most utilitarian-looking variant in the Stiletto line. Released with the Horizon Case (November 2018), Stained applies the same hand-painted brown-and-orange rust-and-oil finish that has been a CS:GO staple since 2013 — but on the Stiletto's automatic-deploy mechanism it reads as a working tradesman's blade rather than a gangster's switchblade.
Why Stained on Stiletto works
Most Stiletto pickups go for high-saturation finishes that complement the inspect animation — Doppler, Marble Fade, Damascus. Stained inverts that brief: the muted earth tones make the deployment animation feel weightier, more practical. For collectors who don't want every knife to look like a presentation piece, Stained Stiletto is a deliberate choice.
FT and the rust pattern
Stained is forgiving of wear by design — the hand-painted irregularity already implies surface aging. FT adds authentic scuff to a finish that visually expects it. The cost-to-look ratio at FT is the strongest in the Stiletto Stained range.
