HLTV sources report that Astralis are bringing in Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov on loan from FUT — ten days after his G2 move to FUT fell apart.
The move
- Player: cmtry (19, Ukraine)
- From: FUT (on loan)
- Replaces: Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
- Role: switches from AWP to rifling
- Reporting: HLTV sources, initial report by Sebastien "KRL" Perez; loan duration and first event not disclosed
Why cmtry is available
FUT benched cmtry days ago to make room for Álvaro "SunPayus" García after his G2 departure. cmtry had struggled with form since his earlier high — HLTV MVP at PGL Bucharest earlier in 2026.
Role change
Significant adjustment: cmtry has been an AWPer since joining NAVI Youth in 2023. Astralis want him as a rifler.
Astralis context
Both departures are happening right before the Major. Astralis also lost Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen after contract negotiations failed.
