CS2 Season 5 Update Adds Cache, New Skins, and Bomb Rework

<p>Valve dropped one of the most extensive CS2 updates of the year on July 8, 2026. The patch launched Premier Season 5, returned Cache to the Active Duty map pool after seven years away, introduced two new Armory skin collections, and shipped a comprehensive rework of C4 bomb explosion damage.</p><h3>Cache Returns</h3><p>Cache's return replaces Overpass in the seven-map competitive rotation. A new health indicator lets players instantly see whether they will survive the blast.</p><h3>New Armory Collections</h3><p>Two community-designed collections joined the Armory this update: Arabesque, with ornamental Middle Eastern styling, and Spy Tech, with an espionage-themed camo aesthetic. Each collection contains 17 items in the same rarity distribution: two Covert, two Classified, three Restricted, four Mil-Spec, and six Industrial Grade.</p><h3>Premier Season 5</h3><p>Every player's Premier CS Rating received a soft reset with the Season 5 launch. The update also brought engine-code changes tied to Source 2, promising backend stability improvements.</p><h3>Community Reaction</h3><p>The patch was received as one of the largest single updates of the CS2 era.
