In an HLTV interview on October 2, Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer walked through the decision to retire as a player and move behind the HEROIC bench.
Why retire now
"My individual level has gotten to the point where it's better to let some new faces come in."
On CS2 as a game
"When CS2 came the first four or five events were good… but then afterwards it's been rough."
On the last six months of pressure
"The last six months I think I had a lot more pressure, because I knew I was playing… either I perform now or it is retirement."
On social-media abuse
"The hate was fully out of control on all social media… something I never experienced before, to that degree at least."
On his new HEROIC role
"I like that it's a young team with a lot of potential to grow, and I really like the people that I spoke to within the organization."
