Why FlyQuest forfeited
Per FlyQuest's statement: "The physical connection between Australia and Singapore is damaged resulting in ping that is unplayable (200ms+)." The venue's multiple backup ISPs were all affected by the same widespread outage impacting traffic from Australia to Asia. Rescheduling was deemed impossible — undersea cable repairs take weeks and TYLOO had commitments to FISSURE starting September 5.
