Tauson hospitalized with reactive arthritis — GamerLegion forfeit IEM Beijing qualifier match, Maden fills, Snax on medical leave

GamerLegion have forfeited their IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier match against Nuclear TigeRES after two of their five starters were unavailable — Sebastian "Tauson" Lindelof hospitalized and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski on a medical appointment.

Tauson's condition

Tauson was hospitalized for 4-5 days with reactive arthritis affecting his knee and left hand. Doctors expect 1-3 weeks recovery. The team is targeting a return by FISSURE Playground 3.

Stand-in

Pavle "Maden" Bošković (Montenegro) is filling Tauson's slot for the qualifier and any near-term matches until Tauson can return. Maden was also announced as a stand-in for GamerLegion at IEM Beijing on September 1.

Impact

The forfeit ends GamerLegion's IEM Beijing main event hopes for this qualifier cycle — they will need to try again next event and can no longer accumulate VRS points from this run. With PGL Major Singapore's VRS cutoff on November 2, every forfeited event costs the team seeding position for the Major's direct-invite Legends spots.
