How Each Team Got Here
Falcons (UB Group A winner) — direct to semifinals
Falcons went 2-0 in Group A: 2-0 over 3DMAX, 2-1 over Vitality in the upper bracket final (the upset that defined the group stage). They are arguably playing the best CS in the tournament right now. Reunion-with-karrigan rumors are background noise — the current roster is delivering.
FURIA (UB Group B winner) — direct to semifinals
FURIA cleanly dispatched MOUZ 2-0 (13-5 Inferno, 13-9 Mirage) in the Group B upper bracket final to lock their semifinal slot. The Brazilian crowd has been a major factor — FURIA's home advantage is real. YEKINDAR's clutches have been a defining storyline.
Vitality (LB Group A) — quarterfinals
The fallen #1. After their loss to Falcons, Vitality dropped to the lower bracket and need to win three matches to claim the trophy. ZywOo and the squad are still the most talented team in the bracket — but the path is now significantly harder.
Spirit (LB Group A) — quarterfinals
Spirit went 2-0 in their opener against Liquid, then dropped to the lower bracket where they defeated G2 2-0 to advance. donk reportedly fell ill during the event, posting a career-low 0.30 rating in one map — a concerning sign for the team's title chances.
NAVI (LB Group B) — quarterfinals
NAVI's group stage included the highlight performance of the event — a 13-0 map win over B8 on Day 1. They went on to defeat Aurora 13-4 on Inferno in the lower bracket decider. Fully rested after skipping PGL Bucharest, NAVI looks dangerous.
MOUZ (LB Group B) — quarterfinals
MOUZ had a difficult Day 1 (lost the opener 9-13 on Dust2 to Legacy) before recovering with a 2-1 win. They cleaned up Aurora in the upper bracket but ran into FURIA in the upper bracket final. Now in the lower bracket, they face Spirit in what is likely the most evenly-matched quarterfinal.
Predictions
- QF1 — Spirit vs MOUZ: If donk is healthy, Spirit win. If not, MOUZ have the edge in tactical depth and individual consistency. Coin flip — leaning MOUZ 2-1
- QF2 — Vitality vs NAVI: Vitality should still win this — they are the better team on paper and have the experience advantage. But NAVI being well-rested while Vitality is recovering from a loss creates real uncertainty. Vitality 2-1
- SF1 — Falcons vs MOUZ: Falcons in their current form should handle MOUZ. Falcons 2-1
- SF2 — FURIA vs Vitality: Brazilian crowd vs world #1. Crowd doesn't win matches, ZywOo does. Vitality 2-0
- Grand Final — Falcons vs Vitality (rematch): Vitality will be desperate. Falcons will be playing on the kyxsan-farewell narrative. The series will be tight. Vitality 3-2 in revenge
