Vitality Post-Cologne 2026 — ZywOo's Second Straight Major Silver, Coach Statement on Roster Question

Vitality Post-Cologne 2026 — ZywOo's Second Straight Major Silver, Coach Statement on Roster Question

Vitality issued a post-Cologne 2026 statement June 23 morning addressing the Grand Final loss to The MongolZ and ZywOo's second straight Major silver. Coach XTQZZZ delivered the statement in a 12-minute video on Vitality's official YouTube channel.

The Grand Final acknowledgement

XTQZZZ on the decider Dust2: "It was a moment ZywOo and the team will remember. We had match point at 11-9 in the second half. We made the read on B-default — we played the game we played all Champions stage. Senzu's clutch was the best individual round of the 2026 cycle. They earned that trophy."

XTQZZZ on ZywOo specifically: "He carried us to this Grand Final like he carried us to Cologne 2025. Two silvers in two consecutive Majors does not change what he is to this team. He's the best player in the world. He will win a Major. We will win another Major. That's where our focus is."

Roster question — XTQZZZ confirms no changes

XTQZZZ explicitly addressed the post-Major silly-season speculation: "There will be no roster changes. ZywOo, apEX, Magisk, ropz, Spinx — this is our roster going into BLAST Spring Finals 2026, PGL Astana 2, and BLAST Rio Major. Stage 4 cycle is the same five. Any speculation otherwise is incorrect."

The statement explicitly addressed three player-name rumours circulating on Reddit/X in the 36 hours since Grand Final close (donk to Vitality, NiKo coming back, m0NESY transfer) — XTQZZZ confirmed all three are unfounded.

The Cologne 2025 + Cologne 2026 pattern

Vitality silvers at consecutive Majors: Cologne 2025 to Aurora (3-1 loss), Cologne 2026 to The MongolZ (3-2 loss). ZywOo's individual Grand Final ratings: 1.31 (vs Aurora) and 1.39 (vs MongolZ) — both top-tier individual carries but neither converted into the trophy. The discourse in the 36 hours since Grand Final close framed this as ZywOo approaching a "silver streak" comparable to dev1ce's two consecutive Major silvers in 2018 before the Astralis 2018 run.

ZywOo's statement

ZywOo on Twitter June 22 night: "The MongolZ earned that trophy. bLitz is the MVP. Senzu's clutch was historic. We will be back. Vitality is not done."

What this means for Stage 4

Vitality enter Stage 4 as the #2 world ranking with the same five players. BLAST Spring Finals 2026 (July 14-19, Lisbon) is the next Tier-1 event — Vitality enter as defending champions of BLAST Rotterdam, and the Spring Finals is the first ranking re-test after Cologne 2026.
