About AK-47 | X-Ray
The AK-47 | X-Ray in Factory New is one of CS2's most uniquely-designed Covert AKs. Released in October 2018 with the Clutch Case, X-Ray uses a transparent x-ray-image visual style that shows the AK's internal mechanisms — revealing the bullet path, gas piston, and chamber assembly through translucent receiver panels. FN specimens trade above $4,300.
Design: X-Ray combines a black-and-white photographic-x-ray aesthetic with subtle blue accents. The illustration shows internal mechanical components in clinical detail — bolt carrier, magazine spring, even the bullets themselves. This is one of the few CS2 skins to break the "weapon-paint" convention entirely, treating the AK like a museum exhibit specimen.
Supply: X-Ray drops only from the AK-47 X-Ray Mission Reward (limited-time event from late 2018), not from any case. Active FN supply: ~2,400 specimens worldwide. The exclusive distribution method makes X-Ray a permanent supply-locked item.
