The ★ Falchion Knife | Lore in Factory New is one of the highest-detail knife finishes in CS2. Released with the Spectrum Case (March 2017), Lore applies dense Asian-inspired gold-on-blue scrollwork across the Falchion blade — the kind of artwork that competes with Karambit Lore and Butterfly Lore as the line's apex decorative finish.
Why Lore commands attention
The Lore family is one of Valve's most labor-intensive finish families. The hand-painted gold scrollwork over deep blue base is dense enough that no two angles read identically — every inspect animation reveals new detail. On the Falchion's curved blade, the scrollwork follows the curve in a way that emphasizes the silhouette.
FN as the detail-preservation tier
Lore's gold detail is fine-line work that wears noticeably past Field-Tested. At FN every fine line of the scrollwork is preserved; at MW the broader detail remains but small flourishes start to soften. FN is the standard collector pickup; MW is the value alternative.
