The ★ Huntsman Knife | Lore in Factory New brings CS2's most labor-intensive scrollwork finish to the Huntsman's flat utilitarian silhouette. Released with the Spectrum Case (March 2017), Lore applies dense Asian-inspired gold-on-blue scrollwork — the design family that includes Karambit, Butterfly and Falchion Lore as its other premium expressions.
Why Huntsman + Lore is unusual
The Huntsman's flat single-edge blade gives Lore an unusually broad canvas. Where Karambit Lore concentrates the scrollwork on a curved surface, Huntsman Lore lets the gold detail sit flat — closer to a bookbinding aesthetic than blade ornamentation. Among Spectrum Case Lore variants, it's the most legible from inspection range.
FN preservation specifics
Lore's gold detail is fine-line work. FN preserves every flourish; MW retains broader detail but smaller curls soften; FT and below dilute the design. For a finish where the visual sell is fine ornament, FN is the standard collector pickup.
